The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a powerful musical by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, adapted from Disney’s film and Victor Hugo’s novel. Set in medieval Paris, it follows Quasimodo, the isolated bell-ringer of Notre Dame, whose longing for acceptance collides with love, prejudice, and moral corruption. With a sweeping choral score and darker themes, the show explores justice, compassion, and what it truly means to be a monster—or human.
